International artists; Seal, Bastille, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Level 42 will headline next year’s Greenstone Entertainment Summer Concerts.
The company released its 2027 artist line-up early this morning (Friday, September 25).
Coinciding with Auckland Anniversary Weekend the Summer Concert tour will once again take over the Taupō Amphitheatre on Sunday, January 31, after its opening at Wānaka’s Three Parks Outdoor Arena the day before.
In releasing the line-up Amanda Calvert, Greenstone Entertainment chief executive officer said: “We’re overjoyed to welcome to New Zealand, for the very first time, none other than GRAMMY® award winning, 90’s music superstar Seal who celebrates his 30 plus year milestone in the industry.”
Bastille’s inclusion means the British Indie-pop band whose hits ‘Pompeii’ and ‘Happier’ have garnered over two billion views on Spotify will return to New Zealand following their 2020 headline show at Spark Arena in Auckland.
“Plus, fans are in for another treat as Sophie Ellis-Bextor makes a highly anticipated return on the heels of her triumphant shows earlier this year,” said Calvert
“Finally, we are eager to extend some Kiwi hospitality to 80’s chart toppers Level 42 who bring their signature jazz-funk pop fusion to our shores for their inaugural tour.”
Calvert added that she felt her company’s 2027 line-up had we’ve achieved the perfect balance of artists and musical genres.
“It’s going to be an exceptional tour.”
One NZ customers will receive access to an exclusive 24-hour presale beginning Monday, September 28 at 10am.
The Greenstone Members 48-hour official pre-sale begins Tuesday, September 29 at 11am.
A special locals-only instore sale commences Tuesday, September 29 at Taupō Visitor Information Centre and Tūrangi Customer and Visitor Centre until the allocation of tickets is exhausted.
General public tickets will then go on sale Thursday, October 1 at 12pm.

Seal:

After featuring in the 2023 film ‘Saltburn’, Sophie’s hit ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ saw a huge resurgence garnering it’s most-ever global streams on Spotify, receiving 1.4 million streams.
Sophie’s latest (2025) album ‘Perimenopop’ charted at number five in the UK Albums Chart, giving Sophie her first Top 5 album in over a decade alongside her sixtg Top 10 record. Level 42:
With a career lasting over four decades Level 42 are an English jazz-funk, pop fusion band who came to prominence in the 1980’s and 1990’s releasing a swag of UK and worldwide hits cementing their reputation as one the UK’s musical forces and dynamic live acts.
The groups 1984 single, ‘The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up)’ hit the British Top Ten starting their trajectory. Released in late 1985, their album World Machine broke the band worldwide with singles ‘Lessons in Love’ which hit No 1 in Britain and No: 12 in the US and ‘Something About You’ which hit No 7 in US.
Their next two records, Running in the Family (1987) and Staring at the Sun (1988), were also big successes in the U.K.
