Taylor Swift fans in Taupō will finally get their Eras Tour moment when an international tribute show comes to the Great Lake Centre on December 9th.
The production, TAYLOR: A Tribute to the Eras of Taylor Swift Music, offers New Zealand Swifties a chance to experience the concert spectacle they missed when Swift announced in 2023 that her record-breaking tour wouldn't visit New Zealand shores.
New Zealand singer-songwriter Josette, a self-confessed Swiftie who bears a striking physical resemblance to Swift herself, leads the show. She'll perform live on vocals, guitar and piano, accompanied by an international cast of musicians and dancers recreating the most memorable moments from Swift's Eras Tour, complete with sparkly costumes and cosmic stage production.
"We wanted to create a really memorable experience where fans can immerse themselves in the music and the hype and the community that surrounds Taylor, and of course just indulge in a fun, light-hearted night out which I think everyone needs these days," says Showtime Australia producer Johnny Van Grinsven.
The show features over 20 hits from every era of Swift's career, including Shake It Off, Anti-Hero, Cruel Summer, You Belong With Me, Love Story, Blank Space, and Lover.
Fans are encouraged to dress up, dance and sing along at the family-friendly event. The Taupō show is part of a 22-date New Zealand tour.
Tickets are $69 and available at Ticketek, though organisers warn they're selling fast.
