In partnership with the Recycle-O-Saurus community exhibition at the Taupō Museum, we’re excited to present Fabric-O-Saurus — a hands-on workshop designed to spark imaginations and turn textile waste into roaringly good creations.

✂️ What We’ll Be Making
These workshops are all about fabric and textiles, shining a light on the waste hiding in our wardrobes and discovering creative ways to give it a second life.
- No sewing experience needed — beginners welcome!
- Suitable for ages 5+
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
During the workshops you can:
- 🦕 Create a Dinky Dino, or
- 💥 Help stuff a giant BOOM Rock for our Over The Road Shop exhibition entry
💥 BOOM Rocks & Big Community Energy
We’ll be making three BOOM Rocks — one for each Hospice shop — celebrating creativity, connection, and community.
And don’t forget… our Hospice shops are bursting with fantastic, weird, wonderful and unexpected treasures perfect for creating your own artwork for this boom-tastic exhibition!

Is your artwork finished… but you’re not sure what comes next?
Come along and learn how to get your mahi ready for an exhibition!
During this fun, hands-on workshop you can:
- 🎨 Use fabric materials to take home and add to your mahi
- 🛍️ Visit the shop at the end to buy extra materials if you want
- 🦖 Make a Dinky Dino or help stuff a BOOM Rock for our Over the Road exhibition entry
- 🖼️ Learn how to make your artwork ready to hang
- 📦 Get tips on presentation, packing, and delivering your mahi on time
- 💡 Talk about titles, pricing ideas, and share creative ideas with others
- ✨ Get help with those last-minute tweaks to make your artwork really shine
This workshop is perfect if your artwork is finished and you want help making it exhibition ready.
