SH1 at Motuoapa – Road Rebuild
Plan ahead for delays if you’re travelling through Motuoapa this Waitangi Weekend.
Repair work is underway on a 650-metre section of State Highway 1 (SH1). The road will remain open, but temporary speed restrictions will be in place.
What to expect
- Traffic management: Stop/go traffic control during work hours
- Lane access: One lane will remain open at all times
- Work hours: 6am–7pm, Monday to Saturday
Timing
- Daytime roadworks resume: Monday 9 February
- Expected completion: Thursday 5 March
- Weather dependent
