Police have issued an urgent appeal regarding 24-year-old Joseph Grattan, who has not been seen for more than two weeks.
In a concerning development, authorities have revealed that Joseph was last seen on February 28 in Patikura Place, Turangi, nearly two weeks before he is believed to have been involved in a crash.
"Joseph has not been seen since 28 February, where he was in Patikura Place, Turangi," Police said in a statement. "He is believed to have been involved in a crash on SH32/Tihoi Road near Waimanoa Road on Wednesday 12 March, at around 2pm."
Following initial enquiries at the crash scene, Police have reason to believe Joseph was injured in the incident.
Both Police and Joseph's family are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or was in the area at the time and may have seen Joseph to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding Joseph's whereabouts is asked to contact Police on 105, either by phone or online, quoting reference number 250311/5175.
