A safer, stronger community starts with people who know how to help when it matters most.
This Saturday, 27 June, residents are invited to take part in a free community CPR training event at the Taupō Events Centre. The event is designed to empower people of all ages with practical, lifesaving skills that could make a critical difference in an emergency.
Whether you're learning CPR for the first time or refreshing your knowledge, these interactive 90-minute sessions provide hands-on experience and expert guidance in a supportive environment.
What You'll Learn
Participants will gain practical skills and confidence in:
- Performing effective CPR
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Recognising and responding to cardiac emergencies
- Taking action confidently while waiting for emergency services
Training includes hands-on practice with Q-CPR manikins and real-time feedback to help participants develop the skills needed to respond in a real-life situation.
More Than Training
The event will also feature free heart health checks provided by the Heart Foundation, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about their heart health while supporting a healthier community.
