🌿 2026 Student Leadership Team Applications Are Open!

Join now — applications for the 2026 KGT Student Leadership Teams are officially open!

What Are the KGT Student Leadership Teams?

Kids Greening Taupō (KGT) coordinators work in local schools and ECE centres, but we also run extra-curricular Student Leadership Teams.

These teams are for young people who:

  • Love being outdoors and spending time in nature
  • Are curious about the world around them
  • Want to take action to protect and restore our environment

Our aim is to engage students in local conservation work while building their leadership skills, confidence, and environmental knowledge.

Participants will:

  • Learn from conservation experts
  • Lead planting days and community events
  • Take part in hands-on conservation activities
  • Build leadership skills through real-world projects

Most sessions take place outside of school hours, though there may be opportunities to lead projects within their school.

📅 Term 1 Commitment:
Students must attend 2–3 compulsory introduction sessions in Term 1. These will be held on selected Tuesdays after school.
After this, all sessions and activities are optional.
